The Foundation has since welcomed children and adults that live and work outside its rose farm in the vicinity of the village of Lasso. To date, Sierra Flor Co. Ltd. has invested approximately $350,000 in the Foundation to make its dream a reality.

Some four years ago, the Sierraflor Foundation set out on an ambitious Integrated Development Project that would meet the educational and development needs of hundreds of impoverished men, women, and children.

The Project consists of seven phases: (1) build and operate an early childhood learning center; (2) build and operate a primary school; (3) provide free medical and dental care for children and adults; (4) hold personal growth workshops for young people and adults; (5) build and operate a community center and library; (6) provide technical and vocational education for adults; and (7) construct and operate a high school.

The Foundation, in conjunction with the Community, has constructed and is operating an Early Childhood Learning Center and a Primary School, holding personal growth seminars directed at young people, parents, and adults, and providing free medical and dental care every day. Also, in 2004, we plan on building a Community Center and Library and our Technical and Vocational Institute is scheduled to begin limited operations.
