Our mission is to provide quality education for children
and continuing technical and vocational education and
personal growth opportunities for young people and adults.
Quality education fosters the development of socially
and ecologically aware, well-rounded individuals that
have the necessary self-esteem and values to contribute
to the growth of their families and the communities
in which they live and work.
Our integrated approach to education,
healthcare, and development includes:
• Investing in programs for
early learning and social development. These programs
are essential to ensuring that young children have the
best start in life.
• Strengthening the capacities of families and
other caregivers because most care in developing countries
occurs in the home and education doesn’t stop
when children leave school.
• Coordinating maternal health interventions,
pediatric care, nutrition, and general medical attention
to improve the health and wellbeing of pregnant and
nursing women, children, and whole families.
• Mobilizing community demand for the skills,
knowledge and services essential to ensuring their children
have the best start in life and for the betterment of
families and the community as a whole.
The children and adults that
graduate from Sierraflor programs are lifelong learners
and active participants in their local communities as
well as the global community. They are critical thinkers,
creative problem solvers and decision makers, and effective
communicators that are aware of their environment and
passionate about the betterment of society.
