It is most cost-effective and beneficial to children to prevent health and nutritional problems altogether by intervening during pregnancy – or to address them in early childhood, the earlier the better – although it is never too late to improve the quality of a child’s life.

With this in mind, the Sierraflor Foundation provides free prenatal or puerperal medical care for pregnant mothers. The Foundation also provides free medical and dental care for older children and adults. Presently, a doctor, dentist, and homeopathic doctor attend patients and provide nutritional guidance on a daily basis at the Primary School, though, in the future they will see their patients at a small clinic that has been planned as part of the Community Center.
